Total Resource Community Development Organization (TRCDO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing trusted outreach and support services to Chicago’s South Side and beyond.
Founded in 1999 and incorporated in 2000, TRCDO was established under the visionary leadership of Bishop Simon Gordon, Chairman. Today, TRCDO remains in Good Standing with state and federal agencies, proudly serving as:

A HUD-Certified Housing Counseling Agency through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

An approved CEDA/LIHEAP assistance site for utility and energy support.

A Chicago Public Schools Safe Haven site, providing a safe space for students and families.

What We Do
TRCDO offers a diverse portfolio of services that stabilize families, prevent displacement, and promote whole-person wellbeing.
Our programs include:

Housing Support Services – foreclosure prevention, rental counseling, homebuyer readiness.

Health Awareness Initiatives – wellness education, screenings, evidence-based partnerships.

Youth & Leadership Development – after-school programs, training, and safe community spaces.
These services are sustained through public and private donations, government contracts, and the commitment of community partners.

TRCDO measures success by lives transformed:

40,000+ individuals reached in 2016 alone through family support, training, and outreach events.

$5.7 million in direct assistance delivered to homeowners and families.

100+ individuals trained in employment readiness, resulting in the launch of our first community garden at 10194 South Winston Avenue, Chicago.
