History of TRCDO

Total Resource Community Development Organization (TRCDO) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides community outreach and support services.  It was formed in 1999, incorporated in 2000, with Bishop Simon Gordon as the Chairman and Dr. Paris Davis as its Executive Director. TRCDO remains in Good Standing with all government agencies.  It is also a HUD Certified Agency through the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department, approved CEDA/LIHEAP assistance location, and Chicago Public School (CPS) Safe Haven site.

TRCDO is located on the south side of Chicago, IL at 1415 West 104th Street.  We can be reached via phone at (773)881-0761, fax:(800)768-1083 or email trcdochicago@gmail.com TRCDO offers a diverse selection of services to the community. We fulfill our goals through public and private donations.

TRCDO continues to provide Housing Support Services, Health Awareness and Youth Programs, locally, at the state level and nationally. Our external partnerships continue to grow and include backing from HUD, Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), Department of Human Services (DHS), AfterSchool Matters (ASM), Chicago Food Depository, CEDA/LIHEAP and the Chicago Public Schools, along with many community volunteers, medical, business, and education professionals.

Through our collaborative relationships with government agencies, community based organizations, and other faith-based entities, TRCDO synergizes its resources and efforts, thereby enabling us to expand our reach further into the areas that need our services the most.

In 2016 alone, TRCDO was able to reach nearly 40,000 individuals via individual and family support services, leadership and peer training, and community outreach events. During this time, TRCDO’s service efforts provided $5.7 million dollars of tangible assistance to homeowners and families in need. Additionally, we provided employment and job readiness training for 100+ individuals, which resulted in the creation of our first community garden, which is located at 10194 South Winston Avenue in Chicago. We are excited about continuing these types of efforts in the community! For more information or assistance, please contact us!  We are ready to serve you.
